Here in Malaysia, road sign and traffic poles were stolen and road accidents were common.
I woke up one day to find upper portion of my metal gate removed overnight by these human cesspool for that dirt $$.

 This phenomenon has also reached Oz. Dodgy scrap metal dealers are just as guilty.
 Although the Chinese demand for scrap metal has seen the demand and price go through the roof in the last five years
 or so,  I had to smile when a thief tried to blame them for rising thefts of copper, lead, brass etc !! Shocked

I the US copper and metal theft is very bad. Telephone poles, manhole covers, new homes, junk yards, etc. are being targeted by metal thieves. Every year it gets worst just like the UK and the rest of the world.

Above a manhole that has a missing, presumably stolen, cover (South Africa).
Because of the huge financial impact of copper and metal theft many US states have created special task forces to fight this crime.

About the picture with the young man and undercover officer (Officer Brown). The suspect lied for an hour about the copper but eventually said he stole it from his father's work truck.
Here's a quote from the news story I read this in: "The plumbing company was still deciding whether to press charges, but in the meantime the youth would head to jail on possible charges of obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct."

Tibetan arrived at it new home all safe and sound. And blimey aint it a goodun! Its the first Krishna Kukri I have bought and its very, very, very good.
Spent a few nice hours with some baby oil, wire wool (just to smooth the handle out) wood balm, metal polish and boot polish.............................in the wrong place that would sound a bit wrong. But you guys know what Im on about....right...come on back me up.......

Hey guys. After the expensive outdoor stuff here is a dirt cheap alternative for an outdoor knife: the Hultafors Grovkniv (GK). Some says it has SK5 high carbon steel blade and it is cheaper than a mora....
